I work with clients of all faiths and belief backgrounds, but when your Christian faith is the foundation of your life, it makes sense to look for a professional who can offer you scripturally-sound Christian therapy. There is great comfort in knowing that your therapist shares your faith and that you can be understood and work toward your goals under the context of your beliefs. In therapy, working with a clinician who relates to you and your background is called a “good fit.” We always want to match with a therapist who can connect with us right where we are and if we are spiritual, we need someone who can integrate scriptural knowledge and lots of grace into the work in a way that offers hope and healing. As a mature Christian and well-trained therapist, I am skilled to offer you a safe and confidential space to work through your feelings, needs and concerns with no judgment or condemnation whatsoever, regardless of what you are going through.
I work with clients who are struggling with their own shortcomings and unchanged behaviors, I also work with clients who have disappointments and injury from interactions within the church itself, and with clients who are conflicted about their faith. I help couples who want to bring more spirituality and a higher love into their marriage, and I encourage families to come in whenever they are struggling with communication, generational issues, life stage transitions, grief, loss or any kind of difficulty that keeps families from enjoying a peaceful and joyful life together.
When the unity of the Spirit exists between you and your therapist, you share the knowledge that all things are possible.
